iPad 2 Launching March 25th

We are delighted to announce the all new iPad 2 will launch in Ireland on March 25th and as usual, BPI Telecom will ensure delivery to all our Apple reseller outlets for this event.
The iPad 2 features an all new design, which is 33% thinner, and up to 15% lighter than the previous version. It also incorporates the new 1GHz dual-core Apple A5 chip, which is up to 2x faster and delivers up to 9x faster graphics performance, but still maintains an amazing 10 hours of battery life with its power-efficient architecture and seamless integration with iOS. iPad 2 has both front and back cameras, and built-in FaceTime support for video conferencing over Wi-Fi with other compatible iOS and Mac devices. Both cameras feature backside illuminated sensors for great low-light performance, and the back camera supports 720p HD video recording. Three great new apps now come pre-installed with iPad 2, including FaceTime, HD Recording, and Photo Booth. The iPad 2 is capable of full 1080p video-out mirroring, allowing you to share the full content of the iPad with a large group through a compatible external display. iPad 2 is available in two stunning colours - black and white - both with durable unibody aluminium enclosures.
iPad 2 continues to integrate a beautiful 9.7" LED-backlit widescreen Multi-Touch display, with IPS technology and 1024 x 768 resolution, and comes in a choice of Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi + 3G configurations, with 16GB, 32GB or 64GB capacities. It includes a new integrated 3-axis gyroscope, along with compass and accelerometer, so iPad 2 always knows where it is and heading. Ensuring pervasive connection, iPad 2 has integrated 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, and available 3G GSM/Edge/UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA wireless.
Also announcing is the optional Smart Cover, designed specifically to work side-by-side with iPad 2. With integrated magnetic technology, the Smart Cover attaches and aligns perfectly and easily with iPad 2. It folds into a stand to allow comfortable watching, reading and typing on iPad 2, and its microfiber lining gently polishes the display when carried. Ingeniously, when the Smart Cover is open and closed, it even wakes up and puts to sleep the iPad. The Smart Cover is available in 5 vibrant polyurethane colours, and 5 rich analine-dyed Italian leather colours, to further personalise iPad 2.
Also available as optional accessories for iPad 2, are a new iPad Dock and Apple Digital AV Adapter. The Dock provides an easy and secure stand for the thinner iPad 2, well as providing charging and audio-out functionality. The Digital AV Adapter mirrors exactly whats on the iPad to a HDMI TV or projector, and supports up to 1080p video-out, Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound, and portrait and landscape rotation. It features Plug and Play functionality, making it simple to set up, and also a 30-pin connector to charge the iPad while mirroring.
