Fergus Sweeney

Co-Founder & Company Director

Fergus Sweeney is co-founder and a Director of BPI Telecom. His vision and belief in a strong service ethos have helped to grow the company to be a leader in its market. Fergus’s key focus is in new business development. To that end, his professional and empathic approach to business equips him with the foresight to pre-empt customer needs and requirements and to deliver those needs accordingly. In addition to this, Fergus still retains responsibility for day-to-day management of the business with his partner and co – founder, Barry Napier.

Fergus has a proven track record in sales and Customer Relationship Management (CRM). “In our book after sales service is more important than pre sales and is the backbone on which we have grown a successful business.”

Based on his experience in the mobile communications market while working for Esat Digifone (now 02 Ireland), coupled with his strong customer focus, Fergus instinctively knew, with his business partner Barry Napier, that there was an opportunity for a new style of distribution company which would maximise service to retailers.

Fergus has managed the rollout of major customers including 3 and Carphone Warehouse. Under his direction, the company has also developed a range of outsourcing services to maximise cost effectiveness to its customers - a move that has been welcomed by the market as it comes to terms with the current Irish economic environment.
